Complete federal ELDT coverage

All three required training components

The program covers the federal Entry-Level Driver Training requirements for Theory, Behind-the-Wheel Range, and Behind-the-Wheel Public Road instruction.

01 • Theory

Knowledge & assessment

The required classroom-style instruction and theory assessment covering the knowledge a new commercial driver must understand.

02 • Range

Backing & vehicle control

Hands-on practice in a controlled area, including backing maneuvers and the vehicle-control skills used during the CDL skills test.

03 • Behind the wheel

Public-road driving

Supervised road-driving instruction and preparation for the on-road portion of the CDL skills test.

One service. Three ways to put it to work.

Training built for real-world drivers

Whether you manage a municipal fleet, need to qualify an employee, or are working toward your own CDL, you get direct instruction without the drawn-out school experience.

01

Cities & public agencies

Train public works, streets, utilities, parks, and other CDL-required team members with less disruption to daily operations.

02

Private employers

Build driver capability at your facility using familiar equipment and a schedule that respects your business needs.

03

Individual drivers

Get focused Class A or Class B ELDT instruction and a straightforward path toward the next step in your CDL process.

Simple by design

From first call to training day

No confusing packages. We talk through what the driver needs, coordinate the location and equipment, and set a practical training plan.

1

Tell us who needs training

Call, text, or email with the license class, driver count, and your location.

2

Confirm equipment and schedule

We coordinate the vehicle, training site, and timing before the appointment.

3

Complete focused instruction

Your driver receives practical, one-on-one or small-group attention without unnecessary downtime.

4

Take the final CDL skills test

After completing the required ELDT, the driver takes a separate skills test with a state-authorized examiner. Bradley prepares the driver; the examiner conducts and scores the test.

Prepare for training day

What to have ready

Having these items in place helps us use your scheduled time efficiently and focus on the skills your driver needs.

1

Valid commercial learner’s permit

The driver must hold a current CLP for the class of vehicle being trained—Class A or Class B.

2

Current DOT medical card

Bring a valid Department of Transportation medical examiner’s certificate.

3

Test vehicle ready and insured

The truck or combination vehicle the driver will use for the CDL skills test must be insured, operational, and available.

4

Basic inspection knowledge

The driver should have a basic understanding of the pre-trip/post-trip inspection and air-brake test.

Questions are welcome. Bradley provides direct instruction, explains the testing process, and helps drivers strengthen their understanding of the inspection, air-brake, range, and road-driving portions.

Straightforward pricing

Know the cost before training starts.

The same flat rate applies whether the driver needs targeted support or the full ELDT training process. No school-sized price tag and no confusing tiered package.

Common questions

What to know before you call

Do you provide both Class A and Class B ELDT?

Yes. Training is available for drivers working toward either a Class A or Class B CDL.

Can training be completed in one day?

That is the goal when the driver is prepared and the equipment and circumstances allow. We will discuss readiness and expectations before scheduling.

Do we come to your facility?

Yes. For employers and public agencies, we come to your facility when a suitable vehicle and training area are available. This helps reduce employee travel and time away from work. For individual drivers, we will arrange a suitable training location together.

What about the final CDL test with an examiner?

After completing the required ELDT, the driver takes a separate CDL skills test with a state-authorized examiner. The test includes vehicle inspection, basic vehicle control and backing, and road driving. We prepare drivers for the test; the examiner administers and scores it. Ask us about the testing process when you call.

What should I have ready when I call?

Be ready to share the CDL class, number of drivers, location, available equipment, and your preferred training timeframe.
